Ahhh!! What a life!--- Inkky Pinky Ponky Reloaded.... :P


With a 3 month Work Experience under my belt, it really astonishes me of what am i doing really in this company! I mean the training was really promising, which a lot being taught ( and i was never attentive in that also!), but then after we got cubicles, suddenly the initial exuberance seemed to died out. Witht the 3rd salary now sitting safe in my A/C, i suddenly seem to be nostalgic with the experiences of last 2 months!Initially we were given a Mentor who is the Director of QA in our company! Gosh!! How terrifying was it to speak with him, as unluckily my cubicle is just in front of his cabin, and he can see what's going in my monitor! We were being given a nice chart of what we are supposed to do for the next month ( kindly note this experience is being narrated as if i m still in September!), and we were really enthu abt the whole "WORK" environment! Loaded all the requisite softwares in no time! But then we were expected to know our Product thoroughly! We were 4 who had joined this QA(Quality Assurance), and so what our Mentor did was he asked us to read some documentation for 3 days till he was out of town, and after he comes he wud ask any 1 of the 4 to give a presentation! I being as notorious as ever, hardly read thos Docs, and so from that time my TT n carrom spree started! Whole day i used to be in recreation room!! Then the D-Day finally came when our boss arrived... He came to my desk to see if all the softwares we installed are correct or not! And the first he noticed in my desktop was... Orkut, Yahoo, GTalk, and Media Player, with songs still running! He gave a nice glare to me, but dint close windows for the moment, but after a while started closing each window! ahhhh... u really shud ve been at that situation urself! And then my mobile started vibrating in front of him! Enuf was enuf i thot as all bad shud happen to me! But then atlast the boss smiled as he saw me displacing the mobile from the place in front of him to just a place just behind him! ( now that was just an instantaneous reaction by me, n i actually wanted to read the msg, but just stopped short!). Luckily i did a good job in installing those softwares to the correct settings, n for a moment i thot that boss is really happy with my
work! Now came the most interesting part of this bit of story!He got up and addressed us, " So guys, the softwares seem to be running smoothly, btw what abt ur docs? have u ppl read them? "We replied," Yes Paancha, we have gone thru that docs completely!" .... (Paancha is how our Boss is bein called.. as in the typical funda in the companies these days to call every1 by their names!)Paancha asked," so who is willing to give a presentation?"We all were STUMPED!! We were looking at each other with blank faces, as none had actually read! Paancha again, " So u ppl are not ready to volunteer! Good.. Now i guess i shud only choose!"Imagine this situation, 4 freshers standing in front of their boss! And now the magic moment! Paancha was silent for
a while, did something strange, was looking at each one of us in turn ( the sequence was easy to decipher that he was going from extreme right i.e me to left.....)And then he finally Said, "Ok, Krishna u have to give the presentation. Now its 11am, so we can expect the presentation by 1pm!."I was shocked, speechless, could see the demons flying over my boss's head... was it a nightmare for me?? Was expecting my roomie's shud wake me up by pouring a bucket of water and say," KC uth jaa... its morning!!"...But nooooooooo.... nothing happened! I could still hear voices from the surrounding! Indeed it was the Office, i was at my cubicle, and i could see my friends giggling on hearing that i m THE CHOSEN ONE!! Finally the long silence was broken by Paancha when he disclosed his mantra of the selection," Guys u shud know how i chose him! I followed Inkky Pinky Ponky....." And then all bursted laughing!! Wowwwwwww!!! And then rest is history! That day the presentation didnt happen coz boss was busy with some work.. the next day also nothing happened... but on the 2nd day one of my frenz happened to talk to Paancha and obnoxiously said,"Paancha give us some work, as we are tired of reading those Docs!".. Even though our boss was busy, he called an urgent meeting, and at that time i was playin carrom! I had to give a presentation without prep in front of him , with a stated of shock as no1 had expected the meeting to happen! I was quite numb during the presentation! Got royally screwed by the boss, coz i was confident of the answres even after knowing the correct answers!Anyways, next 3 days we had continuos day we had meetings with him, and he used to ask lot of questions which we were not able to answer.Paancha got pissed off as we were not able to come to his expectations! We had to report daily at 9:30am to him.... The worst part was we ve to be office so soon!!! And the traffice jam in Bangalore is at its peak during that period! Devil seemed to be reincarnated in our boss!I was really determined to show who i was!! Aakhir itna pakaane ka faayda logon ko, if i cant do that to my boss!The next meeting, i told other 3 frenz to ask questions before he asks!! That was our one big risky plan which went ahead with! And what a meeting it was!! Questions asked... they were answered by him, and then MORE Questions!!He he he... and from that day till date, we dint have any more meetings with him!!

An Euphoric Start!

After getting successfully graduated from college,(yes i did pass in all the subjects!!), it was time to get set for the so-called "Corporate" life. Lot of hope were pinned on this new era of life. I did choose Yantra Solutions over the other two job offers in hand, i.e GDA Tech(my 1st placement!), and Flextronics. After a long vacation at home(where i just added on my wieght), it was time to knock the doors of Yantra(ooooopssss its renamed to Sterling Commerce). Dint knew how shud be the etiquettes in this company! The 1st day incident is worth telling! All of new joinees were given a royal welcome to Banagalore by the company by providing gr8 accomodation( in Nadhini Hotel), but then little did we knew wat wud happen on our 1st day!July 13th 2006 it was! Adrenaline rushing inside me to face this day! I could see myself excited as each moment passed by. Got up early morning at 7am and can u believe ppl that i took a bath! Our HR had changed the time of joining thrice the day before that, by 1st sayin 9:00am n then 10:00am n then again 9:30am! I was in contact with him all this time! So it was my duty to inform others in the hotel about when to be ready as a transport vehicle was arranged for us!Wat a sight it was at the breakfast table! All clean shaven, with new dresses, folks from different colleges, coming
and having a grand breakfast at the hotel( there we actually 12 different varieties to choose from!!)All seemed to be a dream! We got introduced to others! Little did we knew that in a day we would be so freindly with the same guys! then we all were waiting for the vehicle to come from 9:00am. Time passed by.. Our patience was tested.. I called up the HR n he said, " Oh! the vehicle hasn't come yet! Wait i ll check it out!" 15 minutes passed by. Now it was 9:20am. He only called me and enquired again about the vehicle. Yes the vehicle still dint come to pick us up! He said he will arrange for some other vehicle. Then came the punch of the day! He called within 5 minutes and said, " krishna, see there is some problem with the vehicle as it has broken down, so can u please take a auto and come till office! how ppl are there, i hope it wont be a prob for u guys to come by auto!" And then it was the most hilarious moment!! 10 guys coming out of a hotel, with new attire only to call autos!!It was quite funn, coz the decision taken was late, the company couldnt arrange for a back up vehicle! ( We came to know later that the company still has not started its own transport service for the employees). The rest of the day went well, with lots of HR sessions, and another highlight of the day was the session with our MD. We call him Buck! That one hour session, he didnt boast about the company, but he put the facts in front of us, like the company is small, got acquired a year early, problems faced while shifting to new office, problems faced in the new office.... he was just being so frank with us! It was an expreience in itself- sitting beside the MD and listening to him! We were having a lot of ice-breaker sessions, lot of group activities like knowing other person and all.We were 20 joinees on that day! And what a group we made of that! It turned out to be the most notorious gang in the company!!Well the 1st day was surely an Euphoric start to my career!! Isn't it?????

ye meri kahaani....

Well seems that the blogspot has atlast got me!! Some days back a fren of mine had asked me that why dint i ve a blog page for my own...{ courtesy :- to my continuous bak-bak which i do LIVE for the ppl around me }, so he wanted me to bug my friends even here!! So here I'm!! For all those who know me its foolish to say that I m Krishna Chaitanya aka Kaycee aka babu.. he he he.. Writing this when i m on verge of becomin a so-called ENGINEER with final sem results to come soon n Trical at NITK bein unpredictable , cant confidently say that i became an Engineer already!!
Now u all mite be wonderin kiii " ye meri kahaani" whats this supposed to mean here?
Actually this 1st blog of mine i ve decided to write abt my kahaani till now.. hmmmm hope it turns out very chutpatta in the end!! So lest what can i write abt myself! Hmmm a Gulti born and Brought up at a place called Ozar Township, Nasik, i ve lived almost my whole life till now at the same place! From Kintergarden till XII, from learnin cycle till sliding on the ANTIQUE Scooter of my Dad( ah! my frenz can't forget that!), God knows how i landed up at NITK, Surathkal.. Now last 4 yrs in this college, seen UPs n DOWNs here.. mostly DOWNs, i ve gained a lot from life than ever!
One thing my friends in this college will always link to me is my never endin PJ's!! Oh my gosh!! Even in my year book every1 kept writin abt the same! So then i thot.. m i really a Bak-Bakiyaa type a guy!! Trust me, i m very innocent guy!! :P Well many ask me, why m i so passionate abt somethings.. or why m i soooo emotional?? I kept on wonderin and the best Reason i got was, Some questions never have answers! I was once a very very reticent guy, some1 can call a BONDHU also! ( i m a bit of that even now!), really poor in studies in early days, but then i guess Chess did the miracles for me! Having played all my childhood at National Levels, i atlast got better in studies! n then in school days, participatin in dramas, elocutions etc etc, got to know many ppl.. interactin with them... Wowww!! wat a time it was! And added to this bein the youngest of the siblings, n with such a wonderful elder brother who always saw that no1 can touch me in school, i had my share of luxuries!
I m proud that the decision of choosin NITK, my dad left to me.. n for once i took a gr8 decision!
Ahhh! Life at NITK had been a Lifetime experience! from ragging, party meetings, making friends, bein with them for 4 long yrs, writin improvements n rejections, those sleepin in room durin days when classes were goin on, bein part of those Typical NITK Dramas... i left the college being the same guy who entered the college... strange na?
I ve seen ppl around me change with times, the innocent of the guys havin radical changes! well wat can i say?? That's a part of life! Now many have asked me.. do i miss college? I ve told them, No i dont miss the college! That was just a place where i got frenz, n its the memories of that place which i m gonna treasure, n surely i m gonna miss each n every person who made that place wat it is to me now!
i guess i ve to stop here.. NITK ll surely miss me!! he he he
